F.A.466. When Carcharoth burst into Doriath Beleg goes with Thingol, Mablung, Beren and Hùan to the falls of Esgalduin to hunt him.
F.A.468. After the Battle of Sudden Flame Orcs came down the Narrow Land and into Beleriand and the people of Brethil was hard pressed. But Thingol send help out of Doriath and Beleg, chief of the march-wardens, brought great strength armed with axes into Brethil and issuing from the deep forest they took an Orc-legion at unawares and destroyed it. This stemmed the black tide for a while and the Orcs did not dare to cross Teiglin for many years. Later the year Beleg asks Thingol for leave to join in the Northern war. Beleg were unwilling to have no part in the great deeds of the war against Morgoth and Thingol gave leave to go as long he did not serve any son of Fëanor and Beleg joins with Mablung the host of Fingon.
F.A.472. At midsummer all was ready and the army of the Union arrayed in the East and West from Eithel Sirion to the Fen of Serech. Fingons army was stationed in the hills of Ered Wethrin and Turgons host held the passes of Sirion while Maglor and his brothers, the Dwarves and the Swarthy Men was in the East. But treachery prevented the victory of the Elves. Maglor slew Uldor the accused in the battle when his treason was discovered. Beleg surviewed the battle and returned to Doriath where he found Turin and his guardians Gethron and Grithnir near the eaves of Doriath when Turin was sent off from his home by Morwen his mother.
F.A.473. Beleg, Turin, Gethron and Grithnir reached Thingol in Menegroth. Beleg became a close friend and brother in arms of Turin when he grew up.
F.A.484. Turin fled from Doriath and Beleg sought for him, but in wain.
F.A.487 Beleg was captured by Turins band. There was their friendship renewed and Turin learned of Thingols pardon about Saeros but he would not go back. But out of reasons of office Beleg was supposed to journey to Dimbar and he left Turin and his companions but headed to Menegroth and Thingol, asking for leave when winter came and war was stilled, to follow Turin and to recieve a good sword. Belegs reguest was granted and he took the sword Anglachel and returned to Dimbar for a while. When winther came Beleg left Dimbar and turned South down Sirion until he in midwinter suddenly shoved up at Amun-Rudh where Turin and his band now had there refugee, and with him he brought the Dragonhelm of Dor-Lomin.from Doriath.
F.A.488 Beleg and Turin once again fought beside eachother and the land around them became known as Dor-Cùarthol but at the end of the year they were betrayed by Mim and Beleg was sorely hurt in the attack but yet he survived and nearly killed Mim before he folloved the Orcs who had captured Turin. Beleg followed the track of the Orcs passing Teiglin and Britiach, through Dimbar.
F.A.490 This year he came into Dorthonion through the Pass of Anach and into Taur-nu-Fuin where he came upon Gwindor who had seen the Orc-company with there prisoner. With the aid of Gwindor, Beleg at last found the Orcs and Turin and in the darkness they managed to drag Turin unconcious out of sight of the Orcs ( See also Dailir.).
F.A.490. Slain by Turin in Taur-nu-Fuin. When Beleg and Gwindor had brought Turin out, Beleg would cut his bonds but unfortunately he pricked Turin with Anglachel and in the dark Turin woke up and in rage and fear he struggled with Beleg; seized Anglachel and slew Beleg thinking he was an enemy. Sil: "Thus ended Beleg Strongbow, truest of friends, greatest in skill of all that harboured in the woods of Beleriand in the Elder Days, at the hand of him who he most loved; and that greif was graven on the face of Turin and never faded."
