Tar-Ancalimë.

Emerwen Aranel. ( Princess Shepherdess )

Born in S.A.year 873. Died in 1285.

Only child and daughter of Anardil and Erendis (Tar-Aldarion and Tar-Elestirne)

Weddet to Hallacar of Hyarastorni.

Mother to Anarion.

2 Age.

The first ruling Queen of Númenor. For a time she called herself Emerwen. Ancalimë was born in the spring, she was the most beautyfull maiden child ever born in the line of Elros save Ar-Zimraphel.

S.A. 877. When Ancalimë was near 4 years her father took of on one of his Journeys to Middle-Earth and Erendis her mother removed to Emerie in the middle of Númenor to a little house she had there and with her she took Alcalimë. Here Ancalimë was brought up, alone with only female company and without the splendour, joy, knowledge and lore as was normal for a Kings heir.

S.A. 882. Ancalimë was nine before she saw her father again on a short visit just returned from his journeys. Tar-Meneldur ordered that year his sons daughter to be brought to Armenelos and to her father Amandil. She was to be brought up as heir of the King since it now was clear that there would be no son between Erendis and Amandil. The mother of Amandil; Queen Almarian took a great liking in Ancalimë and indulged her as she had done with her son. Ancalimë became wilful, she was clever and malicious, she was resolute and as her fater she could be obstinate, taking the opposite course to what she was counselled.

S.A.892. Ancalimë was proclamed Kings heir when she was nineteen years old and at the same time her father caused the Law of Succession to be changed so that the eldest child female or male should receive the sceptre, but if a Queen was unweddet until a certain time she had to resign.

S.A.1000. Due to the Law of Succession and the pressure of Soronto to resign the Scepter Ancalimë, who was unwilling to marry, was wed late in life to Hallacar.

They met in the area of Hyarastorni in Emerie where Ancalimë sometimes where hiding and here she fell in with a shepard who called himself Mamandil but was Hallacar who had heard of her beauty and of her hidingplace. The marriage was not happy, Ancalimë did not desire love and children and she begruded Hallacar his son Anarion. There was ever strife between them and Ancalimë claimed to be the owner of his land Hyarastorni and she forbid Hallacar to dwell there, she would not have her husbond a farm-steward but yet Hallacar lived in Hyarastorni and Ancalimë in Armenelos. Ancalimë would let none of her women wed, probably because of her own and her parents unhappy marriage, but Hallacar in secret arranged weddings for those who wanted. There was ever strife between Hallacar and Ancalimë and she pursued Hallacar with hatred.
