Land of Release. ( translation of Dor-Faedwen.)
Lying in the Bay of Eldamar in the Shadowy Seas outside the shores of Aman benieth the Pelóri-mountains where the light from the two trees in Valinor upon Ezellohar streamed out through the Calacirya and kindled the dark waves to silver and gold and touched the Lonely Isle at its Western shore where everything grew green and fair. On the isles Eastern side was Avallónë and here shone the stars allways until the days of the sun and moon. On Tol Eressëa bloomed the first flowers outside Aman.
Tol Eressëa was made of an islet who long had stood alone amid the sea since the tumults of the fall of Illuin and Ormal and Ulmo, with the help of his servants, moved it as it were a mighty ship to the Bay of Balar in Beleriand, where the Noldor and the Vanyar entered it and was drawn over the sea to Aman. But the Teleri was not with them because they did not hear the summons of Ulmo and they were seaching for there Lord Elwë and unwilling to depart from Middle-earth. But when the Teleri learned that Ingwë and Finwë and most of there people were gone they pressed on to the shores in longing for there friends and they remained by the coast were Ossë and Uinen came and befriended them. In Aman the Noldor and Vanyar grieved at there sondering of the Teleri and at last Ulmo hearkend to there prayers and he agreed to bring them to Aman if they would come, and most of them were now willing to and they entered the islet, but when they reach the Bay of Eldamar Ossë called them and they knew his voice, and the Teleri pleaded Ulmo to stop and on his demand Ossë rootet the islet to the foundation of the sea.
The centre of the isle was called Alalminórë and here was the Silver Tree Celeborn planted. Here were also the town Koromas with the Cottage of Lost Play; Mar Vanwa Tyelivera. In Another region of Tol Eressëa was Tavrobel with the House of Hundred Chimneys. A few rivers are named too; river Gliding, Gruir and Afros.
