Ancient Road.
The ancient road of Middle-Earth ran North to South from Barad-Eithel through the long defile of Sirion; The Narrow land, past Minas Tirith (Tol-en-Gaurhoth ) and on through the land between Malduin and Sirion through the fringes of Forest of Brethil to the Crossing of Teiglin. From West to South it ran from Vinyamar in West Beleriand through the forest of Nùath benieth the Mountains to the Pools of Ivrin and then to the Crossing of Teiglin, up through the eaves of Brethil to Brithiach through Dimbar to the forest of Neldoreth and the across Mindeb following the eaves of Neldoreth in the land of Nan-Dungortheb to Iant-Iaur, passing Dor-Dinen to Arosslach and the through Himlad to Nan-Elmoth. From here South-East through Estolad and East Beleriand to Sarn-Athrad where it crossed Gelion and now changed name to the Dwarf-Road following river Ascar to the mountains Ered Luin. ( Lt2.)
