Ered Lindon.

Mountains of Music.

The name Ered Lindon means Mountains of Music and was given to the part of Ered Luin between Mount Dolmed to a little further South of Lanthir Lamath by the Noldor because of the music of the green-elves in Ossiriand which could be heard even at the Western side of river Gelion and the Noldor first saw the Mountains Ered Luin from that side of the river. After the drowning of Beleriand and the Lands to the North in the end of First age only a small part of Ered Lindon and Ered Luin was left above the Belegaer.
