Angmar.
The realm of Angmar; the realm of the Witch-king, was lying in the Mountains of Angmar and the foothills and highlands on both sides of the mountains and between the mountains and the Ettenmoors in Eriador, the capitol was Carn Dûm. Other larger cities is never mentioned but scattered around can be imagined villages and small strongholds from where the Witch-king recruited some of his men and beasts.
It was in the Third age around year 1300 the Realm of Angmar was raised and began to show forth its power, first by evil influence in Rhudaur but later by direct actions of war against the realms of the divided Arnor. The Lord of the land Angmar was known as the Witch-king but later it became clear it was indeed the chief of the Ringwraiths who had come North to take advantage of the disunion of the Dúnedains and destroy them.
The realm of Angmar ended in the Third age year 1975 where the Witch-king was utterly defeated by a united force from Lindon and Rivendel, Gondor and the few remaining Dúnedains and even a small company hobbit-archers. The Witch-king fled from the North to Mordor.
