East Bight.

The East Bight was the great indentation in the south-eastern border of Mirkwood and caused the Narrows of the Forest. The East Bight had largely been made by the felling of trees of the Northmen of Rhovanion who had their settled homes in the eaves of the forest. The size of the indentation were as shown in the maps E/W 70 x N/S 50 miles.
