The White Lady of the Noldor.

Born in Tirion in Aman V.Y.t.1362. Dead F.A.400.

Daughter of Fingolfin and Anairë.

Sister to Fingon and Turgon.

Weddet to Eöl around F.A. 320.

Mother to Maeglin.

Valian Years of the Trees.

Aredhel was the younger sister to Fingon and Turgon and thus the third child of Fingolfin and Anairë.

V.Y.t.1496. Aredhel, and her brothers Fingon and Turgon and all of their people, left Valinor under their father after the host of Fëanor and his sons. Fëanor betrayed them when they were about to cross Helcaraxë in the ships they stole from the Teleri Elves in in the First Kinslaying at Alqualonde. Aredhel, her brothers and father, and Finarfins children Finrod, Orodreth, Angrod, Aegnor and Galadriel and all their people had to cross Helcaraxë by foot.

V.Y.t.1500. When they arrived in Middle-Earth after the crossing of the Grinding Ice the Sun arose for the first time. After the departure from Aman she lived with Turgon in Newrast.

F.A. 116. Aredhel went with Turgon to the secret Kingdom; Gondolin.

F.A.316. Aredhel became weary of the city and went abroad to see the sons of Fëanor; Celegorm and Caranthir. But she strayed from the escort of Ecthelion, Glorfindel and Egalmoth her brother had given her and in time she came to Nan-Elmoth where Eöl the dark-elf lived. He saw her and desired her and he set his enchantsments about her so she drew nearer to his dwelling, and Eöl took her to wife and and he suffered her not to fare abroad or stray far.

F.A.320. With Eöl she had a son whom she called Lómion but his father named him Maeglin when he was 12. As Maeglin grew up Aredhel told him about his ancestors and they both would like to see them.

F.A.400. Aredhel and her son escaped to Gondolin in but Eöl pursuaded them and he found the way to the hidden Kingdom and to Turgon. Eöl claimed his son and wife but Turgon would not let him leave the city. But Eöl grapped his hidden spear and trew it against Maeglin but Aredhel took the spear in her shoulder and during the night she died.
