Elrond

Born at the Mouth of Sirion F.A.year 528.. Departed over sea T.A.3021

Brother to Elros.

Elrond is in the Lord of the Ring at his home told to be wearing a silver circlet upon his dark ( As the shadows of twilight ) hair. He had light grey eyes who shone with a light like stars and his face was not young nor old but ageless. Like a king crowned with many winters and yet hale as a tried warrior in the fulness of his strength.

1 Age.

F.A.532. As young children in Beleriand Elrond and Elros was taken captive by Maglor and Maedros in the battle at the Mouth of Sirion in the Third Kinslaying when the remaining sons of Fëanor; Maglor, Maedros, Amrod and Amras tried to take the Silmaril Beren and Luthien took from Morgoth and Elwing had there. They were in the beginning thought slain when Gil-Galad and Cirdan came from the Isle of Balar in their ships to aid the Elves at Sirion. But as the further story tells Maglor took pity on them, cheerished them and love grew between them. It is not directly told how or when but a quess might be that Elrond and his brother ( Together with Maglor and Maedros and there host ) was again united with Gil-Galad, Cirdan and the surviving Elves of the battle at Sirion when Eonwë summoned all for the final War of Wrath.

F.A.590. After the War of Wrath Elrond chose to be of the Eldar, he became minstrel and counsellor of Gil-Galad and journeyed with him and Cirdan into the East where was founded Lindon and the Grey Havens.

2 Age.

S.A.1693-1697. Sauron was making his final preparations for destroying the Elvish Kingdoms in Middle-Earth. He was making war upon the Elves of Eregion in an attempt to gain the Three Elven Rings and revenge his demasking by Galadriel, Celeborn and Celebrimbor and if he succeded here the invasion of Eriador was next. The battles began 1695 and when Gil-Galad had news of this he sent out a force under command of Elrond. to keep him at bay, Celeborn with a small host succeeded a sortie and to drive the vanguard back and he could join the force under Elrond but Saurons force was much to strong and they could not get back to Eregion and the attackers broke into Eregion in 1697, with ruin and devastation. This year established Elrond the refugee in Rivendell to where many survivors fleed.

S.A.1701. Imladris was besieged until the Númenorians in the very neck of time arrived at the shores of Middle-Earth and Sauron was utterly derouted and fleed back to Mordor. The army that besieged Imladris was cought between Elrond and Gil-Galad and destroyed and Eriador was again free but lay largely in ruins.

S.A.1701 - 1981. Galadriel brought Celebriand with her when she came to Imladris searching for Celeborn.

S.A.3431 - 3434. Near the end of the Second age the preparations for the Battle of the Last Alliance is done in Imladris and in 3434 climbed the numerous host Hithaeglir and continued ahead Mordor.

S.A.3441.At the final battle of the Last Alliance stood Elrond at the side of Gil-Galad. Elrond survived but Gil-Galad did not and neither did Elendil but Isildur cut the One Ring of Saurons finger by the hilt-shard of Elendils broken sword Narsil. Elrond returned to Gondor with Isildur. Elrond recieved by Gil-Galad Vilya the most poverfull of the Three Elven Rings which had a Blue ( Sapphire ) stone, and was made of gold.

3 Age.

T.A.2. They prepared to return, Isildur to Arnor, and Elrond to Imladris but at the Gladden Fields the disaster befell and they were ambushed. Isildur with the One Ring vanished and all were slain save three; Estelmo the esguirer of Elendil, Ohtar with one ( Unnamed ) companion who in the light of later knoledge was Elrond. Also in this year brought Ohtar the shards of Narsil to Imladris and the heir of Elendil, Valandil. The shards of the sword was kept by Elrond but not forged anew for Elrond foretold that the sword should not be so before the One Ring came forth and Sauron rise again.

T.A.109. Wedded to Celebriand the daughter of Galadriel and Celeborn.

T.A.130. Elladan and Elrohir born.

T.A. 2933. Gilraen brings Aragorn II to Imladris where Elrond took him to his house as fosterson.

T.A. 2941. Bilbo Thorin II, Gandalf and the party of Dwarves comes to Imladris The sword Orcrist is identified.

T.A. 3021. Departs over the sea from the Grey Havens 29 of September T.A.3021 which ends the Third Age.
