Son of Earendur the last King of Arnor.

Brother to Thorondur and Aldarion Kings of Cardolan and Rhudaur.

Father to Beleg.

Amlaith claimed as the oldest son of Earendur the overlordship of the three realms but his brothers rejectet this and there was strife between the three Kingdoms. The chief matter of the strife was the tower of Amun.Sul and the Palantiri. The cities of Arthedain; Fornost and Annuminas became deserted.
