Wedded to Gilraen.

Father to Aragorn II.

Arathorn was, as it was costume for the heirs of the Chieftains of the North, raised in Imladris and he was a friend of Elladan and Elrohir, the sons of Elrond and Celebrían.

T.A.2929. Arathorn weds the young Gilraen after she had sought the counsel of her parents Dìrhael and Ivorwen.

T.A.2930. Arathorn becomes Chieftain of the North this year when his father were slain in the Coldfells.

T.A.2931. Birth of their son Aragorn II.

T.A.2933. This year Arathorn is slain by an Orc-arrow when he was hunting Orcs with Elladan and Elrohir as he often did.
