During his reign Argeleb fortified the Weather Hills.

T.A.1356. Argeleb was slain in battle with the realm of Rhudaur in the strife of the Palantir of Amun-Sul who had secret aid from Angmar. Argeleb renewed the claim of the Lordship over all the former lands of Arnor but this was rejected by Aldor of Rhudaur, who was not an heir of Elendil, and had an secret alliance with Angmar. Whether Cardolan rejected the claim or not is not told.
