The land of mist in the Central Highlands; the Lands to the North F.A..; Fingolfin and his son Fingon held Hithlum and the sub-domains, Mithrim and Dor-Lomin , Hithlum and its subdomains was encircled by mountains; to the North, East and South by Ered Wethrin and in the East by Ered Lomin. Hithlum was without its subdomains at its widest 180 Miles East / West and North / South 170 Miles. It was a fair land but the air was cool and in winter it was cold, most of Fingolfins men settlet near the great Lake Mithrim and Fingon was assigned Dor-lomin.
