Newrast.

Newrast is the name for the country in the Central Highlands in F.A. which lyes between Mount Taras at the shores of Belegaer in the most western corner and the Firth of Drengist. In North and Cirith Ninniach, where the border follows the Western hills of Ered Wethrin Southward to where it meets the mountains of Ered Wethrin comming from the East to Mount Taras. Newrast is surrounded by mountains and in the middle is lake Linaewen. Turgon had his abode, Vinjamar; close to the sea and Taras before he moved to Gondolin.
