Tighfield; a location West of Nobottle in the West-Farthing in the Shire were Sam`s grand-dad ( Hobson Gamgee. ) had a rope-walk and after him took Sam`s uncle ( Andwise Roper.) over. Tighfield was lying on the road from Little Delving to Gamwich.
