Twenty-ninth King of Gondor.

Calimethar was determent to avenge the death of his father in the Battle of the Plains Third age year 1856 against with the Wainriders A friendship and an alliance with Marhwini, leader of the Northmen, living in the vales of Anduin West of Mirkwood had grown between the years from the battle and they were known in Gondor as a people of good trust. Messengers came from Marhwini to Calimethar that he suspected the Wainriders were receiving new strength from the East and they were recovering from their wounds and fear.
At length Calimethar was free from other dangers nearly always threatening Gondor and Gondor had regained its strength. He knew from Marhwini the wainriders plotted to raid Calenardhon over the North and South Undeep but also that the enslaved Northmen in Rhovanion planned a revolt if the Wainriders were engaged in war.
3 Age.
T.A.1899. Calimethar sent horsed warriors East of Anduin to the Undeeps and led an army out of Ithilien into the plains North of Dagorlad and took care the enemy knew it. As he had planned they came upon him with all the strength they could spare but he gave way before them dragging them as far away from their homes as he could. At Dagorlad he gave battle and the result was long in doubt until the host from the Undeeps joined in with a great éored lead by Marhwini. He assailed the Wainriders in the flank and rear and the victory was overwhelming and the enemy fled. Calimethar did not pursue them knowing that the enslaved Northmen at their homes had revolted.
T.A.1900. This year Calimethar build the White Tower in Minas Anor ( Later Minas Tirith.).
