1850 - 1856. In the time of Narmacil II. a new kind of men came out of the east. At the same time the Ringwraiths secretly re-entered Mordor and it is told that the fierce people coming out of the east were probably stirred up by Sauron and the Ringwraiths

T.A.1856. These men were stronger, better armed and journeying in wains and fighting in chariots. The wainriders assaulted Gondor and Narmacil was slain in the Battle of the Plains against the Wainriders beyond Anduin, North-East of Morannon in the wide lands South of Mirkwood. His army was saved from annihilation through the rearguard defence of Marhari.
