A deep and narrow gorge delved by Teiglin after the junktion with Celebros. Glaurung was slain by Turin at Cabed-en-Aras. Nìenor cast herself over the edge into Teiglin at this place where also Turin took his own life and later there mother Morwen died here too. The place was renamed to Cabed Naeramarth; The leap of Dreadful Doom. after Nìenors surcide. The people of Brethil raised here the Talbor and thereafter would no man or beast or bird look upon that place until Hurin had met Morwen here before she died and had been burried.
