The Mountains of Terror.

At the Southern side of the Highland Dorthonion the land fell in terrible sheer falls down to Nan-Dungortheb and Dor-Dinen and ends where the Pass of Aglon divides Dorthonion from the Hills of Himring. The name might come from the terror of the offspring of Ungoliant who escaped from Morgoth and his Balrogs in Lammoth to Nan-Dungortheb. In the West the Mountains of Terror begin after the Pass of Anach into Dorthonion and the mountains Crissaegrim where its pinnacles are tallest until they in the East near Aglon are mostly high steep hills. Two rivers had there wells in in thiese mountains; Esgalduin and Aros.
