The Guarded Plain.

North-East of Nargothrond was the great plain Taleth Dirnen, in the East of it near Nivrim, Teiglin and Aelin-Uial whitch also was the confines, was high moors. In South was the edge of the plain the Wall of Andram and in the West Narog. It is not possible to define a border to the North but it would be safe to asume that it at least stretched 100 miles South / North to the heights of the Crossing of Teiglin and East / West 130 Miles. A very large area to guard for Nargothrond. Three Miles North / East of Nargothrond was the hill Amon Ethir and in the ancle Teiglin / Nivrim ( 20 Miles from Teiglin, 35 Miles from Niwrim.) 85 Miles from Nargothrond was Amon-Rudh. The Northern part West of Amun-Rudh to the Crossing of Teiglin was for some years called Dor-Cùarthol.
