Armenelos

Existed in the Second age. Was eradicated by the Powers of the world at the end of the Second age due to the downfall of Númenor.

The royal city in the west of Númenor where the kings had their great house. As seen from this quote "When Meneldur received the Sceptre he removed, as he must, from the Forostar, and dwelt in the great house of the kings in Armenelos" Here all the kings of Númenor had to dwell when they received the scepter and in Armenelos was kept the great heirlooms of the high revered and renowned men of the First age.

2 Age.

S.A. Elros began the building of Armenelos.

S.A. 800. Aldarion proclaimed Kings Heir and a great feast held in Armenelos.

S.A.3255. Wedding of Ar-Pharazôn and Tar-Míriel. Pharazôn seized the Scepter of Númenor and took his rightful home in Armenelos.

S.A.3261 - 3264. Pharazôn sets sail for Middle-Earth and returns victorius bringing with him Sauron as a prisoner. But in 3 years Sauron managed to win the ear of Ar-Pharazôn, and persuade him to assail Aman and Valinor.

S.A.3319. Downfall and destruction of Armenlos.
