Long Lake.

The Long Lake in Erebor in Near Eastern Middle-Earth ( See Endor / Arda.) was 40 Miles East of Mirkwood and some 20 - 25 Miles South of the Lonely Mountain.

From North to South it was around 15 Miles long and East - West about 4½ Mile wide. At the West brink in the water was build Esgaroth at the North side of the Long Marshes. The lake was feeded by the water of the Forest River who came through Mirkwood and the Long Marshes from Ered Mithrin and from Celduin who had its well at the Lonely Mountain and ran South passing Dale to the Lake. In the South end of the lake was the outflow of the water over the Falls of the Long Lake.
